Prior to your appointment, we suggest you write down your aesthetic goals and make a list of questions you wish to ask during your consultation so that no question or concern is overlooked. Afterward, we invite you to speak with any of our patient references - these patients have volunteered to share their personal experiences with you.
Please print and complete the New Patient Registration Form and bring it with you to your appointment. This will enable you to relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while you view our extended library of patients' before and after photos and testimonials on the day of your consult.
Surgeon and Consultation Fee
When you schedule a consultation with board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Macdonald, the fee is $150 for new patients. For existing patients, this fee is $50. Consultation fees are applied toward the cost of any surgical procedure(s) you elect to receive.
In your cosmetic consultation with Dr. Macdonald, he listens to your goals and concerns. He evaluates your current state and helps you understand the intricacies of your skin, facial structure or body contours. Next, Dr. Macdonald educates you about the full range of cosmetic options available. Finally, he recommends an approach to best satisfy your aesthetic goals, availability of downtime, and budget.

Appointment Cancellation Policy
We have a 48-hour cancellation notice requirement. A $100 late cancellation fee is applied if you do not show up, or if you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice. We apply this fee to the credit card you used to book your appointment.
Should you need to notify us of a cancellation or rescheduling request outside of our normal business hours, please call the office and leave a voice message or email us.

Parking and Public Transportation
We are conveniently located at 500 Sutter Street, Suite 430 near Union Square. We suggest the Sutter Stockton garage located at 330 Sutter Street.
We are also BART accessible. Get off the train at the Powell Street station and walk a few blocks straight up Powell. We are in the building located at the corner of Powell Street and Sutter Street.
