For all new patients, and for established patients upon request, Dr. Macdonald offers an overall Skin Health Assessment service as part of his initial consultation.
In this detailed assessment, Dr. Macdonald will consult and interact with you at a very personal level, taking in the nuances of your face and skin as perceived “through your eyes”. Then he will apply his own “eyes of experience” in cosmetic artistry to identify for you the areas or “trouble spots” for which you may want to consider non-surgical or surgical treatment, or skincare products and regimens.
Dr. Macdonald provides this comprehensive evaluation of your skin health and appearance as a way to lay the foundation for an ongoing relationship. Many patients return for skincare or cosmetic treatments with Dr. Macdonald or with his medical esthetician and become friends over the years. Dr. Macdonald strongly believes in educating his patients to enable them to make informed, confident decisions for themselves about their care.
This initial Skin Health Assessment provides new patients with a basic understanding of today’s options in cosmetic skincare treatments. This assessment is helpful in serving as a “skin health & beauty plan” for how to improve and maintain the overall appearance of your face and skin so that you can achieve your unique personal goals.
